Florida couple suspected of filing fake court documents

by In Florida, a judge has filed a complaint against a couple running a debt collection firm from their home for allegedly filing fake paperwork in court.
The Palm Beach Post reports that Collier County Judge Vince Murphy began noticing some mistakes in dozens of cases filed with Palm Beach County by Stone, Colman & Gonzalez Arbitration, an agency run by Blanchi and William Dugatkin. After the judge warned them against filing any cases, the Dugatkins continued to do so, leading Murphy to file a complaint with the Florida Bar for unlicensed practice of the law. After the judge filed the complaint and dismissed a number of their cases, the couple then sent a phony order to Murphy. "This court has been informed that due to this witch hunt against Blanchi B. Stone, her name and reputation has been damaged," the phony order read, according to the source. Other debt collectors have been getting some unwanted attention from authorities in recent weeks. WIVB reports that federal officials are working with local authorities in New York to track down former debt collector Tobian Boyland after he failed to turn himself in for a 15-year prison sentence.
